needle bearings

Does anyone know where I can find the proper needles for putting a factory set of WR connecting rods together?
I was looking for the exact same thing recantly and didn't find any source. The easiest way is to take Sportster needles and shorten the male rod cage ones down to WR size.
Please let me know if you find a better source, I'm interested!

I've got a set in paper of huge cages and rollers that were either WR or KR, or whatever. And the aluminum cages look crude enough for homemade.
But the were NOS from a defunct dealer auction many years ago.
Does a ~5/16" rod roller sound familiar?
And oh yeah,...A huge stepped crankpin. I guess that makes it KR?

Sparky. WR`s used two different roller/retainer combo`s, both were special racing parts, and are not available. Try to locate the 54 to @ 70? KH and Iron XL retainers. they were made of steel, and would be safer to narrow than the currently availale aluminum ones of the same dimensions. You can`t get these new, so you`ll have to look for used ones. Also, the KH and Iron XL rod races can be narrowed to fit WR rods. The upper bushings are the same as WL and XL.
Cotten. Yes, the 5/16 rollers and 1-1/2 in. stepped crankpin appeared on the KR in `55, according to parts books.
