Control coil clamp HELP

I looked through the books for the correct clamp that holds the control coil to the jug next to the points.
I can't find it.
I have searched pictures and found various clamps.
Some bikes don't have the clamp.
Thanks

Re: Control coil clamp HELP

Brendan, it is the same clip as the two that secure the control coils to the tank mounting bolts. Pa

Re: Control coil clamp HELP

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it’s the same one as used for the carburetor. Part # 4162-30

Re: Control coil clamp HELP

Thanks, That's what I'm going with. It's a little tight and raises the nut on the jug but there is enough thread holding it.

Brendan
I like to use this clamp although it is not restoration correct for my bikes it's much thinner
and allows you to adjust the cable casing without loosening the cylinder nut.

Re: Control coil clamp HELP

Thanks rd.king

I got the correct clamp on last night. It looked wrong because the stud did not protrude through the nut all the way and I had to place it on an angle to point towards the timer. Tonight I was going through palmers big restoration book and viola, there it was on page 61 or 62 . It looks exactly the same in the book. If I have to take it off, the clamp you pointed out is going on.

Thanks.
