I have some usable steel clutch plates, but with some damage to the brass holders for the ball and spring on the circumference of the plates.
is there a rebuild kit for these components, and where is a good place to buy them.
Thanks keith

I've noticed that many of the aftermarket steel plates don't have the small ball and spring thingies...I wonder how important they are. ?? Maybe one can run without them, but I don't know. ??

You can use them without the balls, but don’t be surprised if they rattle some. That’s all the balls where designed to do, stop the rattle. Nothing to do with function.

I suppose the design idea was to have the plate rotated around onto the blocks in the basket to prevent a shock load, and prevent grooves from developing in driving blocks, and mushrooming of the contact surface of the plates.
