I see new Knucklehead, Panhead and Shovelhead complete, ready to run engines being produced by S&S and others, is anyone out there producing complete, ready to run Flathead engines here in the USA?
Re: New Flathead Engines?
Not that I know of.
There's no aftermarket source for the engine cases.
Almost all other parts are available though, from different sources, like Tedd's V-Twin, 45 parts depot, NOSPARTS etc

Kiwi Indian is offering a repo Indian Chief engine in 80 and 84 Cubic inches. Every one seems to think that they are excellent.

I wonder how much $$?
Maybe S&S will make a 45 soon, after all they have most everything except the cases.
Re: New Flathead Engines?
Hey motogunner.
Are you sure S&S have any parts for a 45 engine? AFAIK they're selling UL aluminum heads, and that's all they have to offer for the flathead motors. Please share any good news you have in this matter.

It seems they are planning to offer a complete flathead engine. The video shows cylinders, etc, for flatheads.

By the end of the video they mention S&S would have a complete UL motor besides the knuckle, pan and shovelhead they have now. They also mentioned the cylinders were scheduled to be released by December but no mention of these on the S&S website. I wonder how much interest is out there for new flathead engines as they produce so little power and the cost is so high.
Re: New Flathead Engines?
corrected, i must have gone off just before the end.

Re: New Flathead Engines?
I suspect that the H-D market is covered by the knuckle, pan and shovel motors and there is a small market for consumables for ULs plus the rebuilt 45 motors ( in various capacities ) from various sources, plus the Kiwi indians which do indeed look like a quite remarkable piece of kit
