45 distributor screws

I need to repair the threads for the distributor screws on one of my 45"s ,if my old memory is correct ,a 1/4- 24 is too big and yet a #10- 24 seems to small ..Is it a #12- 24 or some Harley only type and do I need a special tap?Thanks for looking.

Glasses, heck I just broke my trifocal glasses....and I damn sure hate going to get a new set here in Germany...glasses are quite $$$....

When I come to visit the family in Oregon this May, I will make sure I bring the presciption form with me and have a spare set made then.
