Pressure build up-- not from beans!

The tank (cap) needs to be vented both ways. The drill bit idea sounds good if you're usuing a real small one. The pressure relief on the cap should be small, like 2psi but it needs to be vented for expansion.

Isn't this an annoying problem, my 46U used to do the same thing in fact sometimes the pressure would build and no fuel would go down to the carbie, it kind of created a vacuum. Hotrod is right by drilling a very fine hole in the right side cap the problem will go away.

If you ever get the opportunity and you have an old set of tanks your going to do up and you know someone talented - get them to weld in feeds for an equaliser between the tanks. This too will help with those shitty petrol pouring out problems.

Beware of the reproduction caps from V-twin: the rubber gasket swells to cover the vents!
I had to warranty a very expensive flamed paintjob because of them! Swell them in gas first and trim them before use.....Cotten
