Hey Guys, How are new plug wires set into the coil ? I picked up some nice cloth covered plug wires that are copper core and am not sure how to insert them into the coil.

If done correctly it is easy. Before trying to remove the old wires soak you coil in near boiling water. After ten minutes you should be able to gently pull the old wires out. With the coil still warmed up push the new wires in. If you break a wire while pulling it out you have just opened a can of werms.

You could also try Bruce Palmer III's method which is noted in his big book. You energize the coil with a battery to soften the tar up.

I use a heatlamp, and a really stiff plastic soda straw to make a hole for the wire after it has cooled a bit.
