Sifton .412 v/s .414

Old Pan stuff---

Any ideas on the differences between these two cams (other than the obvious .002 designation)? The .412 as far as I know works fine with solids, --------so------- is the .414 essentially the same cam for hydraulics or something other than that?

412FL[ 1948 and later motors]Inlet cam 32deg. 53deg. Exhaust 53deg. 32deg.Same lift as stock cam but contour and timing are different and shows signifigant gain.Does not require any special head work to install.--------414FL Inlet cam 29 1/2 deg 54deg.Exhaust 61deg 24deg same as stock lift similar in design to 412 but has more power in top end No special head work to install.For the rider who wants maximum power for minimun expenditure.1948 and later motors.From Sifton catalog dated 5/9/77.Neither one is from the hydraulics section and also says they must be used with our[Sifton] pushrods only. Hope this helps. Too bad Sifton went out.

By the way both are 412" lift.414 was the designation number.#414 cam in the catalog.
