Alex! I guess its all a matter of how you define "worth"!
I, too, professionally build (and 'tune')H-D engines, but only vintage ones. And since pans aren't the high-flow powerproducers that really show much benefit from such updates (flamefront ain't the limiting factor fer sure), it hardly seems 'worth' depreciating their value from "original".
Don't get me wrong, I love to booger relics, and do it for myself all of the time. But as a 'professional', I really do consider the customer's best interests. Usually they come to regret such anachronisms on a farm implement like a pan.
