Hendee Tool Identification

Just saw this auction in eBay and wondered if anyone can confirm what this tool is used for. I have had one of these things for years now and never knew what it was for. ebay # 290056791487
Very different from a Harley flywheel truing stand. Doesn't seem like it has enough clearance to fit a set of flywheels into it. HELP!

Yes, that's an Indian flywheel truing stand; part number TP9796.

Are these truing stands sought after? The one I have is NOS. What is the approximate OD of the Indian flywheel that these stands are designed to be used on, if you know? Thanks.

Panhead wheels won't fit. I'll give ya'll a tip. Search ebay under "bench centers" for truing stands!

Thanks for the replys. From looking at what I have I thought that it was for inspecting shafts for runout using an indicator. It didn't look like it had enough clearance in it for flywheels. Also it's much lighter that my H-D flywheel truing stand. I don't have any experience with Indian motors so I didn't have that frame of reference. I got it with a load of other tools and just tucked it away until I saw that eBay listing which got me curious. Thanks again.

I've had a set of 74 pan flywheels in mine. There are five inches from the center to the beam and the 74" pan wheels are about 8 1/2 inches.
