Indian compensator

I just unearthed a complete compensator that I believe to be Indian. Is there anything other than the outer primary that will have to be changed to run one? Is there an aftermarket as well as a stock assembly, any difference? Does it help with the clutch? Any problems? I've had it on a shelf for years, forgot about it....jb

If it is Indian you have to change the drive shaft and the primary cover. If it is aftermarket you only have to remove the primary chain and replace the sprocket. There are pics. of both in the Virtual Indian archives www.virtualindian.org . Neither fit Sport Scouts Only Chiefs.
