Indian Chief Frame

Hi . can someone out there give me the diamensions of the lower threaded portion of chief frame forging at the axel stay threads . Seems to be 24 t.p.i. but clamped area is so distorted no sure of true i.d. Do not have acess to threaded portion of axel stay to measure. Need to know tap size and major and minor diameters. Also-Where can i access chief frame measurements ??? Will appreciate any help,yours,Ben

Plunger 640 frame. Last of the leafers, 1st of the plunger rear

I am trusting that this is some kind of typo. A 640, being a Sport Scout, had neither a leafer or plungers. The 641 did get the plungers but the 340 Chief and 440 Four started them The last Leafer was the 345 Chief.

Yep, typo with the 640/340 thing. Link is to a plunger frame drawing. Just plain wrong about the 'last of the leafers'. My mistake.
