chief windshields

I want to put a windshield on my 46 chief. I was wondering if anyone here has mounted a memphis shades fats to a chief. Hate to buy it unless I know it could be done. Do the windshields for these bikes mount with the rods and clamps , because it seems like something could be made to work. Like memphis shades because I want something that goes down farther than the straight accross windshield I have seen on them.
