Given that you pretty much HAVE to throw away the left case, how much are the rest of the parts really worth? Bidding already over $5K.

I looked at what was supposed to be a 1936 VLH the other day. Boss was filed down perfectly flat, shiney flat, like milling machine flat, then the numbers were stamped in perfectly straight and spaced with number stamps that did not even resemble the factory stamps.

It was a complete, but rough bike, guy wanted $10,000 for it. The top end didn't seem right either, but I'm no an expert on those bikes. to my eyes it had a pre-33 top end. I think the whole thing was cobbled together from parts.

Ugh ! Them are ugly numbers !

7 different bidders over 5k. sold for over 7k . not bad for an engine of unknown condition.
