Low numbered tall rib 41 knuck cases

I was under the impression that most 41 knuck cases had the short ribs, and if any had the tall ribs at all, they would be much later in the production run, hence a higher VIN. These cases have a pretty low numbered case number, but have tall ribs. Didn't 41 cases also have the number pad with the two bumps on it? Is this a number job?
