m35 venturi

I have an m35 on a 47 knuckle, 74 cubic inch. Is there any advantage to using an m74 venturi in the m35? Is there anything that has to be done other than swapping the venturi?

Sure - more power.
it's a drop in, but you should be using the 5 hole M45 or M75 main nozzle (27331-41).
I show a 9° throttle disc for the M45 but 12° for the M35, so your off-idle response may be a bit soft - try it out.
