Frame Pinstriping

Does anyone have any pictures of a Big Twin frame that has been pinstriped? I had my BullNeck frame at a shop to
evaluate needed repairs. It had been reinforced on both sides between the seatpost cross brace & rear trans cross brace.
anyway, they sent several frames to be sandbasted & the blaster offered them a bulk rate. So they loaded up my frame
and called me, "Hey, we just saved you some money!" I have no photos to go by to replace the striping.
I would appreciate some samples to show a local striper.

There was no factory striping on frames.

I know Chris, It was hand done & very attractive. We are not the first generation to modify our sickles.

So, if anyone has any photos that show some hand applied pin striping they would share so I might re-create
the period modified look on a Parts Bike Knucklehead, that will never meet Chris Haynes standards, never be
AMCA judged, but hooked to a sidecar and be one hell of a lot of fun, please post some pictures.

Ya don't need to be a friggin' wise ass. I didn't know it you thought the pinstriping was original or not. Stranger things have happened.
I also build customs. Not everything I touch is a restoration.

here are some shots of "original" pinstriping on a mostly "original" 47 EL that is visiting my shop.

none of it is on the frame but gives an example of what you are looking for. the bike was in dry storage from 1954 until 4 years ago and has 11k miles on it.

it is all original except paint, seat, white walls and oil tank.

i prefer the hydra option as it seems to be a stable place to store photos on the web. AND as a mod there i have a little control over the use of them.

on a side note, i tried to log into the VAM site the other day and couldn't get in. how are you handling the spam in the comments section? there seems to be quite a bit in there.

I use imageshack John. This forums photo provisions, limits the size to much IMO. I save all of my photos to my computer also. I do this because I have lost photos stored elsewhere. If i see one of my photos missing....such as a couple that were lost in my 42 wla trans build topic....I reload them. Pa

yes i understand the reasons for image shack. i think i still have an account with them.

i always thought it was better to host the pics on the same site as the forum. so if another site is down you don't get the little red x's.

also, you do not have to tax another site's resources to have photos appear here.

either way, what do you guys think about the vintage stripes?
