but THIS IS NOT ENOUGH !

coz the ORIGINAL offset fork HAS THE STEM FLOOR ANGLED TOO !
(the stem still comes to the floor at 90 Degrees )

it ALSO has the lower center of the stem AHEAD about 10 Millimeters on the floor !

so you said "with the original cones : all is Okay "

do you believe all the forks you sold go to a restoration ????
they go on CUSTOM-BIKES . 95% of your forks sales is for CUSTOM-BIKES USE .
and do you believe these guys still work with the ball-bearings ????

No problem Fran-6....all is good between us.

I just didn't want anyone to think that in order to get an offset fork all we did was bend the fork stem. That's how I understood the way you wrote it. Just wanted to set that straight.

As for making a "correct" offset.......for the amount of offset forks I've sold over the years........probably 25+ inline forks to 1 offset.........it's not worth the extra effort as far as I'm concerned

Like I said, the problem only arises when someone wants to use Timken bearings

on this point : i agree and understand .

i just read elsewhere somebody saying
" if these forks are rear-bent : it's not coz the factory built them this way ;
it's coz the motors were powerful and the front brake also ... "
something this kind ....

For those whom may be somewhat confused by the huge amount of new and important data:

milwaukee belle has used, merely as a fixed point of reference, an (imaginary) vertical line passing through the spring rod support center on the rear leg. This is useful, as it remains without alteration during the life of the springer and may be used to contrast rear leg lengths (as in #2), and compare trail distances.
However: the legend TRAIL, assigned to the horizontal blue link spanning the distance between the fixed reference (above) and the axle center, is not intended to show the actual trail dimension (which is much smaller), but instead merely how the position of the wheel changes when other features change.
The actual "trail" is not, and cannot be shown in these drawings since that requires the depiction of the wheel radius at its height above the ground plane.
