39 small port heads on a later 74

Want to try my original 39 (small port) EL heads on my later 74. Any issues to be concerned with? I wonder how the intake manifold will line up but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Being as the size of the intake nipples are different on the 1936-'39 heads VS the 1940-'47 heads you will have to use a '36-'39 intake. Your 74 jugs don't have a fire ring on them so there should be no problem there.
