Does anyone know of someone who restores early knuckle oil gauges?
Carman Brown used to make reproductions. I don't know if he is still doing them or not. Harbor Vintage used to restore them. Dunno if they still are.
There isn't much too one anyway. A couple machined pieces that sandwich a diaphram that moves a little thumb tack shaped piece that flips the flipper. Take it apart. Clean it up. Repaint the face white and the flipper red and green and you are ready to go. If yer real picky you can buy some stick on vinyl letters to spell out Harley-Davidson along the outside edge. Although this is almost impossible to see once the dash cover is in place.
