Searched a few Asian directories after I got the trademark info but can't find a listing for them. The trademark site was the only place I could find anything that might be them.

Cancellation date listed July 16, 2002

It also lists G & S: structural parts for motorcycles.in it. Might be another company name they have.

Well, guess I was wrong, you found Zel. I'd venture that Zel is the aftermarket "Harley-Davidson factory" for restorers and kit builders. There's plenty of Zel parts on "restored" antiques that get judged at meets. Thanks
I'd still like to see inside the facility....all those fenders hanging, stacked whatever....with gas tanks and horseshoe oil tanks. Zel might even have Harley-Davidson® projects going on for the MoCo.

I googled G & S: structural parts for motorcycles, but only found a German Co. that made anti-nose diving shocks in 1985. Not the one we want.

Always heard ZEL was Zodiac related.
Beginning '77 is ± Zodiac startoff ...
But it might be just rumors.

that is kinda easy. ZEL stands for Zodiac Enterprises Limited.
Its the Asian Branch of the Dutch Wholesale Company Zodiac. They distibute their parts worldwide and manufacture products for all the other big names in the industrie. They are ISO 9001 certified and i love their products. Great quality at a great price. Ton Pels, former European Dragracer is president of Zodiac.

The Company employs the services of various independent representatives, the
most significant of which is Zodiac Enterprises Ltd. ("Zodiac"), to expedite the
activities of its foreign manufacturers and to act as a purchasing agent for the
Company. The Company has been doing business with Zodiac since 1984. Under the
terms of the agreement between Zodiac and the Company, Zodiac is an agent for
the Company (Custom Chrome) to purchase products in Taiwan and to manufacture products in
Taiwan. The agreement provides that Zodiac will supply Custom Chrome with
products that meet certain specifications designated by the Company and, when
necessary, provide the tooling that is necessary to manufacture such products.
The Company's agreement with Zodiac is renewed annually, and can be terminated
by the Company at any time on 90 days notice and by either party 90 days prior
to the end of each annual period. Products purchased through Zodiac represented
22%, 18%, and 11% of Custom Chrome's net sales in the fiscal years ended January
31, 1995, 1996 and 1997, respectively. If Zodiac's services were discontinued
for any reason, the Company believes it could replace such services
in a timely manner by its own capabilities and using other trading companies. In
many cases, the Company would expect to continue using the same manufacturer.
There can be no assurance, however, that the Company would not experience
temporary supply delays.
