Little Miss Sunshine if you can find it. Go now, before you have to fight a mob to get in.

Actually I didn't see it unitl this morning ($5. cheap-seat early matinee). My wife saw it by herself earlier in the week, while I stayed home and worked on the book. She liked it so much, she saw it again with me. Can't tell you anymore about it except it's funny. I take my own popcorn (wired-shut in a cheap, noiseless, food and bread storage bag, and further disguised inside an opaque plastic grocery bag) and my own bottled water, as always. No ticket-taker has ever said anything to me going in the theater. If they did, I'd pull the popcorn out of hiding and say "low-salt" :!:

The same guy from "the office" sit-com is in there. In-sane.
Movie language is a rough in spots. The heroin thing lighens it up a little though. Once you've seen it, it all makes sense about a day later. Go early. Go cheap.

Check out "Flyboys"...This movie ROCKS.. No Harleys but there is a vintage bike in it. The dogfight scenes are awesome...

And for a Harley in a movie.. I saw that there was a nice Harley in "The Black Dahlia" not sure what model.

Saw Flyboys movie last night hoping to see some real rotary engines in use. There were a couple on service stands but not on any planes.

Has anyone identified the cyle in the movie?

Another good airplane/cycle movie is Rocketeer.

The Queen - Believe-able. Moves fast. The girl was a wrench during the war. Short film, you'll be back in the shop within 2 hours.

Pursuit of Happyness
Note: The guy walking across the street at the end of the movie is the real person.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but I am I glad I waited for my brother to rent the "Little Miss Sunshine" video ... This is one of those by the book amateur comedies ...

We'll create a family of completely unbelievable characters and throw them into a completely unbelievable plot, and see what happens. Unfortunately, every scene and every action was completely predictable, including the admittedly humorous "dance" scene at the end.

I know the movie made a lot of money, and was quite popular, but clearly made for the masses ... sort of like my "Big Fat Greek Wedding", which only had one laugh in the entire movie, and that was given away in the previews (the "headphones takedown").

But then again, humor is very subjective ...

Happy New Year. Mark

Really good. My wife saw it (she sees them all) and said it was a real sleeper. Not advertised much. Captivating, and the villain gets his due. Not one to miss.

The bike in " The Black Dahlia " was an Indian. Note the leaf sping girder front end.
