There is a book published by Harley-Davidson called, I think, The Legend Begins. It has photos of all the bikes, lists all paint colors, factory installed accessories, ETC, from '05-'69. Have your dealer order it or call the MoCo at (414) 342 4680 and ask for the Service Department. Not 100% correct but a real good resource.

I had great luck with theses guys for parts and info, They list paint and i hear from others is top knoch.

Standard colors were Pepper Red with White flash, Atomic Blue with Champion Yellow tank flash, Champion Yellow with Black tank flash. The optional color was Flamboyant Metallic Green with White tank flash.
