Help for a former Flat Track champ needed
I had posted this in the TALK TO US section but not sure if many read that section.
A buddy of mine had a small stroke then fell and hit his head hard and is not doing well.
His name is Frank Antonelli. He is a former Flat track champion from the boston Ma area. Frank won the Canadian dirt track championship in 1960.
Frank went on to build winning motors for other racers and made a huge impact on single cyl 1/4 midget types and formula fords cars etc. Frank sold his bike to a collector museum who scammed him and we lost track of them but then we found them and the guy who has them now has worked with Frank on setting them up just like they were raced. He let Frank race them again, up until 2 years ago when Frank had a mild heat attack he would ride his old bike at the Gun Stock and Rochester NH races.
Franks in a rehab place and is very lonely for company and phone calls cards etc. He can't see very well out of one eye and still has head akes. He keeps trying to get me to spring him and drop him off at an bike shop so he can get dirty.
