KHK Motor: Any Ideas what it's worth?

Spoke with a fellow about a KHK motor that is complete, but stuck. It last ran in the eighties and the only external change is a Mikuni carb. THe cases look good on the outside. What do you all think this would be worth? Not looking for a bargain, but want to be realistic.

can u pull heads or primary? lot times they blew primary chain. if good cases 1500.00 to 2000.00

I would 1st make sure it's really a KHK, lift the heads and check valve lift, should be approx .395" (10mm) for KHK cams against .295 (7mm) for K/KH. Even with motor not turning, one valve at least should be raised in there...

Thanks for the replies. He is wanting more like 4,500 - and I thought it seemed high. Problem is I only know of two other KHK's and they aren't for sale. BTW: he said that it was originally down to have a kick start seal replaced - and he never put it back together. I think I will keep on looking...
