k model shop repair manual /cd

anyone know of a good shop repair manual for k models?

There's no H-D Service Manual for Ks... The 1st ever was for the 59 XLH Sportster.

There're also a few Shope Dope loose sheets from H-D for general specs and clearances, Antique Supply has republished them in 4 handy books that cover all the H-D years; not just K or KH.

The K or KH Riders Hand Book will cover all the basic maintenance:





If you want to go a bit deeper, buy one of the earliest Sportster Service Manuals, most of the info will apply...

thanks patrick that helps...i've been looking high and low, guess that's why i've had no luck! my immediate purpose for the repair manual was to see what the layout behind the headlight schroud is. will any of the books show me that for my 1956 k? i do have the k model parts book, but it's not too detailed in how the pieces should go together.

Same as 57 and 58 Sportsters, big bakelite terminal plate just on top of bottom tree.

You can get on eBay early K or KH repro or OEM Parts Catalogues that will show all the exploded drawings of all the bits and how it goes together...
