shocks

i'm looking at a pair of shocks on ebay...VINTAGE HARLEY DAVIDSON PANHEAD PAN HEAD SHOCKS FL FLH. the fellow tells me they are 13.5 eye to eye. will these work on a 1956 khk with the first year of the "new" sportster frame?

Yes ! These are virtualy the same as 56K/earlyXL shocks. Beefier springs(hidden under the covers), a small "F" stamped on the bottom of the lower mounting loop, and of course the A/B stamped cups rather than the R cups. Buy them and run them until you find the correct R cups ! If you aren't going for them, say so and I'll jump in !
