Anyone have some pics of WL bottom ends with Matchy topends? I can't see how they would have aligned the pushrods with the Harley offset tappet arrangement?
Re: Matchy topends?
I have never heard of this top end. Perhaps they used different lifter blocks and lifters? Got a picture?

I'd love to see some pics too. Those miss matched bottom ends and top ends are cool looking. Plus some pretty good skill went in to making the rascals run.

Re: Matchy topends?
Pity someone doesn't post an account of all the mods needed and whether it's worth the trouble.

I've seen a couple of incomplete ones hanging around the vintage sprinting scene. They have a reputation for being slow and fragile, although I've never actually seen one running. I would tend to expect the barrel-crankcase joint to be a major weak point, and I would guess that the comments about Magnums also apply to some extent
