Re: Another Breed Of Ideas
Geez, I have a hard enough time picking up my FLH when I drop it in the dirt. I'd never get this one back up without help.
Re: Another Breed Of Ideas
I've long held the opinion that "because it can be done" overrules "because it's better to ride" in the custom builders' handbook.
I am sometimes asked to judge bikes at HDRCGB rallies, and whilst I don't ever pretend to have the skills and knowledge to produce something like that, they never get a look-in with me since they fail my basic test of a motorcycle; that it should be usable as everyday transport, or in the case of racers, for the purpose for which it was designed.
Same goes for OCC clones with a turning circle worse than a super-tanker.

Yeah....I always thought YUCK also. To each his own I guess. Not my cup of tea but the work put it to it is admirable. Pa
Re: Another Breed Of Ideas
It's just A stock Boss Hoss, isn't it? I had a friend that had one for quite a few years. It rode well and was actually pretty easy to handle. His had the 350 LT1 engine with a powermatic trans. It was a pretty good parade bike because it never overheated and gave everyone something to talk about. He always said his Ultra-Glide was more comfortable and finally sold it

They sell quite a few of them. I think I heard several hundred a year. They have a trike that is pretty high tech. There are enough that they have an owners group and a yearly rally. They have a model with an all aluminum 454 Chevy motor in it.

Saw one of the 502's this year at Myrtle Beach. Had a big nitrous bottle setup on it. WTF?
