What year motor

Hi, Helping my son's friend with an Evo Chopper project he bought. Previous owner took off top end and cylinders and left bike out in the rain. I,ve split the bottom end and soaked the rods and flywheels and all is clean. He was told engine and trans were out of a 95 touring bike. It is supposed to be a 4 speed, but I haven't seen it to confirm yet, with chain drive to rear wheel. I have the motor numbers, BJLP 028392 stamped on the timing plug case. Is this a 95 and can you tell the model from this number? I have a Harley service manual for FL/FX 1978 1/2 to 1984. Will the specs be the same for the 84 Evo as the 95, or do I need a different manual?

Thanks Woody appears to be an FLST/FLSTC, 1340 cc, and a 93 not a 95. Were there 4 spd trans in those models?Anyone know if 84 rebuild specs, torques and such are the same as 93, or are there differences I need to know about?

No, only 5 speeds

'93 was first year for Head Breathers, pre- had crankcase breathers.

Thanks for the help in ID of the motor. I bought a manual on E-Bay that covers 84-99 softail models, I built a 86 Evo motor about 14 years ago and it was the first and last time I even rode one.
