handshift lid

Can anyone tell me what is the correct tranny lid for a 64 handshift would look like? Is there a neutral indicator and if so is there a change on the dash? This is a very correct and original bike with only the dash and tranny lid missing. Thanks

'39-E50 sand-cast did not have a neutral switch - Neither did the mid-50-64 die-cast tank shift cover. The '65-E76 tank shift cover had a neutral switch. Dash was three light from '62-67. Center (green lens) lamp was the neutral indicator.

Plumber, did the dash have a plug for the neutral light in the dash and if not how did the green light activate with no neutral switch in the tranny lid? Thanks

Yes. The dash base has a middle socket and bulb.

Dunno. The lid needs a switch to light the lamp, and it's a one wire switch for '59-64 and a two wire bulb on the dash.
