Panhead frame and springer identification!

Going to have someone look at a '48 panhead frame for me and wanted to know if there are any other casting numbers besides the neck casting? According to Palmer's book the neck casting should be XE 35F. I just didn't know if there are any other casting numbers on the frame that I should be looking for. Also, do inline springers have any casting numbers on them? If so, where and what should they be?

1948 Panhead frame usually does not have a steering dampner anchor pin in the boss in front of the dash mount. Front down tubes are not flattened for horn -- early 1954 is like this too but 1948 has early front and top motor mount. Jerry
