Tappet block?

Need to ask about fitment of shovel tappet blocks on a panhead engine.

The tappet blocks have these numbers cast/impinted on them

18601-73 FRONT

18611-73 REAR

Will they fit and work properly on a 58FL engine?

The ones I have got plenty of wrinkle black paint on them, and it is hard as a brick..........so, once I get the paint off of them, I can see that markings are on them.

PS, I am planning on using Andrews J cam, and solid lifters.

Thanks

Re: Tappet block?

Kyle...

Thank you.

George

PS, on the blocks that came off of the engine,

Rear one has busted up ears, and it is off a shovel... front one, is original pan.

Thanks again for the confirm!

Hi George, did you ever check the clearance on those lifter blocks? They looked great to my untrained eyes but I never checked the fit...Mike
