Gel Battery

Any one had experience with 6v/19a gel batteries. Are they any good?

I don't care for batterys that fail completely with out warning. I have had way to much trouble with a couple of them. I am sure that you will hear from way more people who love them. You have to decide for your self if thier advantages are offset buy ther most common method of failure. For me they arn't worth the trouble.

no experience with the 6 volt listed, i convert all mine to 12, gels are all i use and have never had 1 fail. it does require a special requlator (less charge) so as not to burn it up.

I just had a 12V 7ah gel fail overnight last week. Lasted 2 years, cost 19 bucks. But as Dusty said it was fine one night, and had an internal open circuit the next morning. Still, I like it better than the mess of standard batteries. Pay your money, take your chances.

They normally don't leak and/or mist minute amounts of acid on your parts.

I bought two of those batteries that can be seen on ebay. they both failed miserably.
