Windshields?

Hey Guys,

I'm just back from a 2000 mile trip around Europe, on my trusty old flattie. Great trip. No problems, except that my primary chain got a little longer.

And... My neck got sore after driving on the highway. So my question is:

When did windshields arrive on the harleys? How did they look back then?

I've found some "ugly" ones on 45partdepot, sort of military style, but my bike was a Police cycle in South America (Montevideo).
