UL/VL Hybrid
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been gathering parts for my next project which is to put a UL top end on a VL bottom and put it in a UL/FL type rigid chassis. For now Im just working on the engine. Has anyone done this before? I have five UL engines apart in my work shop right now plus the VL so I have lots of parts to compare. I can see that the UL cylinders need to be trimmed on the bottom to fit in the VL case and that the overall height of the UL case is taller than the VL. Is this going to cause a manifold fitting problem? Also using 74 pistons will reduce compression ratio. Any input would be appreciated, thanks... Bill
