Hey guys, this is a great site.I was wondering if anybody could help me,in finding a big twin flathead engine or cases.I build traditional style hot rods on the side and would like to build a flathead bobber. Thank you Nils
Hey Nils,
A stocker will deliver approx. 28-30 Hp on the rear wheel.
Cams are hard to get so the easy way to get some more power would be to raise the CR and relieve the cylinders. Increase of the stroke is always a good way to more power.
You can get stroker wheels from S&S or T&O.
Depending on the stroke, the pistons might be a problem to find.
A modern carb will definitely help on the way.

Nils, Don't think anybody has a kit, have to do it yourself (or have someone do it), take a look in the archives here for more info, also try the "Panic papers" for more really good stuff...Victory Library for info and parts.
You might want to check the thread here about the "Flatboy" might be to your liking.

Are you north or south of boston?
I'm south of Boston and might be able to get you to a one or two people, or might I be able to help a bit. Best thing you can do would be to get Panics books on Flatheads www.victorylibrary.com. There are not to many people left in the area that can do compitant work on the old motors. The ones I know can do the standard rebuild work but not much more. Most of the other mods you might have to do for yourself.
