Ul piston

Hello again....friends rebuilding a motor...
Was checking the market for new pistons and
Seems every where i found they are selling the
Ones in the yellow box, eastern parts .....
Are these good quality, anything to be considered when
Using these...
are there other options...
Thanks

Re: Ul piston

I have good luck with the steel strutted pistons from Eastern. Just good quality stock replacements.

Re: Ul piston

S&S has UL pistons in their current catalog. When I noticed that earlier today I was pleasantly surprised. Personally I have had about 1000% better luck with the quality of S&S parts than most other companies (Eastern being one of them).

Re: Ul piston

I too have had good luck with the Eastern pistons, even when I've skimmed .030 from the crown and approximately 1/8" from the skirt bottom. These are in my 88 inch stroker, with 4k miles on them. Had to cut them down for clearance top and bottom.

Re: Ul piston

The pistons S&S are selling come from Eastern, as well as the big flat valve train parts.
