Cycle Electric Generator question

Hey all,

Probably a stupid question but which terminal is which on the cycle electric 12v genny, without regulator. Genny is in bike so forward terminal is? and rear terminal is ?? need to know which is the armature terminal (A) and which is field terminal (F).

The forward facing one is the armature, the one closest to the motor is the field
