ul oil pump

On Dick Linn's website there are two pictures of a flathead feed pump with gerotor type gears.
anyone know who makes this? pictures show box with part #587-09. Is this available?


I emailed vt-cycle in Findland, they make this pump, but it sells for 650 eros? Which would make it about $866.00 US.
I hope this is wrong as I don't think I could afford one from them!

Dick told me that Bruce Argetsinger of Enfield Racing was going to be introducing such a pump.

I talked to Bruce at Jefferson, Pa a few weeks ago, the oil pump is in the works, but not released as yet. He has a few projects on the burner presently, (as always) but will be working on getting that one finished up.

Hi Guys,

Rumors are correct, I have been working on the gerotor pump for over a year now.
As I am writing this, I have prototypes and am doing the initial bench testing. The main thing to sort out is that the gerotor pump puts out so much oil that in order to keep from overwhelming the return pump, I have to establish the correct size internal orifices.
The plan is to get them out for actual road testing this spring. One on Dr. Dicks bike and also a couple of racers.
I will keep you posted.

I do have the VTcycles pump. It works well, was easy to install and existing return system is no problem. Only problem is that they did nothing to seal the oil from leaking through the cam bushing. Mine will puke out oil if left sitting several weeks. If Enfield racing does a similar pump they should consider a remedy for this problem.

Yes the CHP 587-09 Gerotor oilpump is available now.
It is manufactured here in Sweden by Cala's High Performance
Extensive testing been done in test fixture and on UL's on the
road. It pumps one quart in 45 seconds @ 30 psi, the stock
scavenger pump does one quart in 30 seconds. It can easy
handle piston cooling jets and this means no more glow hot
engine and barely warm oil tank. You get the same type of
oil circulation as the OHV's. Now you can go full throttle even
with long strokers without seized pistons. It is practically a
bolt on operation and we recommend 20W-50 oil.

On the 2nd page is the oil pump. I paid WAY more money. Only problem is the oil still leaks from the tank in the gearcase.
