Flathead value?

I have a friend who has a few 80" flathead motors. He has offered to sell me one at a price." what ever I think is fair."

He says he is not interested in selling to anyone else, in other words, oficially they are not for sale.

He is a friend, so ....... What the heck is a fair number for a good running 80 inch flatty?

Don't want to insult him but on the other hand, I'm not rich either.

I agree, based on what has been selling on Ebay for the past couple of years, a running 80 inch flathead, even with non-matching cases, but with good numbers, would easily fetch the price that Pa mentioned. I would probably consider that a bargain ...
