VL Tranny Problems

Help! Just pulled my VL tranny for the first time. I beleive I have third gear problems. Can't get the clutch hub off. Any secrets, tricks, or special tools to pull it off? Do I need to remove the six screws in the pressure plate before pulling? Thanks for any help.

You don't have to remove the 6 screws with the special heads, they only adjust tension on the springs.
You will have to remove the starter cover, the throw-out bearing and the clutch pull rod first along with the 3 fingered plate which pushes the pressure plate. After you get all of that off the rest should be obvious, the whole thing will come off as a single unit once you remove the big nut.

Thanks Mike, that's what I thought, I figured the six screws were holding the spring plates like my '20.
