Hello, my copy of Palmer's is in storage and I was wondering if anyone here could help me ID the year and application for this transmission please?

I don't have pics of the kicker cover up yet sorry.

If that is a 10 9 casting on the bottom of the tranny then it is probably 1950 panhead - cannot read the cover.

1938 and newer because of the raised oil transfer port in the kicker end.

1944 and newer because of the steel insert (vs Bronze) in the 5th mounting bolt underneath.

It should have a vent on the kicker end of the case - if not then it could be 1960. They changes style of casting date about that time.

Hi Jerry, thanks for that.

The cover has 33-35 L8 or similar cast into it.

I'm trying to work out what this basket UL project consists of...already identified one cylinder as VL!
