38UL Line Bore Nos. with STAR suffix

Hey Guys,

Resurrection Cycle has a set of 38UL cases for sale with matching bottom numbers that are followed by a "STAR" symbol. Can anyone tell me what this signifies? Replacement cases?

you can see that motor mounting boss has been repaired for sure so who knows what the case #s mean
the star wasn't used till the 70s on shovelheads vin #s
i bet those are no factory matched cases but thats just my opinion
