Just up the road here in Carmarthen. Our good friend Patrick (AKA French Owl) will be there with his beastie, I'll be bringing my WLC in case they have a "slowest time" race-off! :D

Some pics from this weekend's event. I'll leave Patrick to tell the story, but basically we had three runs, conditions far from ideal with winds up to 40 mph, good shakedown for Bonneville.

Some very interesting machinery there. How did the Panther do? There used to be a Panther sprinter around the vintage scene, is it the same bike?
Shoot, a man could have a good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff...

Given the conditions (very windy) and the fact that it was the first time in over 50 years it had taken place, it was more about doing it at all than breaking any records; but from what I saw it behaved quite well. A surprisingly large number of "run what ya brung" road-legal stuff which pleased me particularly as I feel it encapsulates the true spiirt of motorcycling.

I was part of Patrick's "pit crew" so was fortunate to see everything at close quarters. The Vincent streamliner flipped over , outfit slightly bent but rider (or should it be pilot) unhurt.

I feel an Ironhead build coming on.
