The S&S 500 cam is a bolt-in that cam set that provides excellent torque with stock or ported heads. Great for modified engines up to 89 inch displacement and 9.0:1 to 10.5:1 compression ratio and will work in 89 to 100 inch engines with less than 9.5:1 compression. Normal clearancing checks recommended. Will work with solid or hydraulic tappets, requires cam lobe clearancing when used in stock crankcases. 2000 - 6000 rpm.
Fits engines in 1991-Up Harley-Davidson® Sportster® and 1994-2002 Buell® models. For 2000 and later models, 1999 and earlier style pinion gear must be used, available through S&S.
