If S&S or other aftermarket cams are to be installed in stock 2000-up Harley-Davidson® Sportster® or Buell® models with stock flywheels, a 1991-'99 style pinion gear must be installed. The stock 2000-up pinion gears are not compatible with the S&S cams due to a change in the stock gear profile in the 2000 model year. These pinion gears are also useful for stock replacement in 1991-'99 engines. Red color code pinion gears measure 1.2750"-1.2753" over .108" pins.
