In honor of S&S Cycle's 50th Anniversary, this book provides a history of S&S Cycle, founded by George Smith in 1958 and showcases 50 custom motorcycles that were built by some of the best custom bike builders in the industry including Chica, Cory Ness, Paul Cox, Jerry Covington, Jesse Rooke, Redneck Engineering, Arlen Ness, Roger Bourget, Rick Fairless, Kim Suter, Brian Klock, Kendall Johnson, Fred Kodlin, and Paul Teutel Sr.
Howard Kelly's career includes former communications manager at S&S Cycle, former editor at Hot Bike magazine and Street Chopper magazine, and staff member at Motorcyclist and Hot Rod Harley magazines. He lives in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
Michael Lichter's motorcycle photography has been featured in Easyriders magazine for over a quarter of a century. His work has also appeared in Indian Larry, Choppers: Heavy Metal Art, Top Chops, Arlen Ness: Godfather of Choppers, Billy Lane Chop Fiction, Harley-Davidson® Century, and Sturgis. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
