The 551 cam is designed for engines with 96 to 106 CID and 9:1 to 10:1 compression this is a bolt-in cam set designed for stock or mildly modified touring bikes. Greatly improves low-end and midrange torque, strongest from idle-4000rpm.

S&S Chain Drive Easy Start Cams are a great way to increase performance at an affordable price, are installed in a short period of time reusing many stock components, and Easy Start Cams allow stock starter to start any engine. Can be used with stock valve springs.

551CE Cam kit includes cams, gearcover gasket, cam bearings, and instructions.

Pulls hard down low, great for touring. I have a stock header, SE Air cleaner and the Power Vision. The tunes provided for the Power Vision make this cam a "kit" that saves you money on the dyno tune. Well done S&S!

with stock header, SPO's and PV1. Used the tune they have posted in Tech Info. Runs great! Torque down low!

Have a 2010 flhx with true duals,air cleaner and power vision,installed the 551 cams and makes great low end torque, great fuel mileage and it starts without effort all the time.Highly recommend.GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Pondered between 551 and 583.......went with the 551...dyno tuned at 77.86hp and 101.57tq with PC and v&h pro pipe quite baffle with stock replacement k&n....dyno guy figures upgrade air cleaner and ill be up over 80 HP and 105 TQ this power on a wide glide is fun as hell....gonna do head work next summer

Installed your 97in big bore kit with these 551 easy start cams in September 2012. Had heads ported with bigger valves in my 2002 Road Glide. Dynojethd by Speeds Performance at Arkansas rally. 80 hp. 107 ft lbs torque. Pulls better now with me and my wife than it did when I was by myself before rebuild. I smile all the time

Update after 11,000 miles no issues with these camshafts. 2010 FLHTC runs the way a Harley should. Pulls strong which makes touring a pleasure. Extremely pleased.

I had the 551 easy start cam installed about 3 weeks ago. it has lived up to what I expected. It idles good with a lope when you first start in , after it warms up the lope deminishes. The performance is good. I am sure it will improve after I have it dynoed.

I had the cam installed in my 07 FLHTCI. I runs great. Power is improved no need to down shift to pass. Good throttle response and engine has a nice idle to it. Good product as is all S&S products.

Review:
Installed this cam in my 2010 FLHTC. The engine pulls very strong and revs easily. Roll on power is significantly improved. My torque from stock went from 73 to 92 which is a 26% increase. Gas mileage has not suffered and bike is a pleasure to ride. No hill I encountered on a 420 mile ride after the install required down shifting even when the bike was in 6th gear. Highly recommend this product for a heavy touring rig.
