If you own a Big Dog motorcycle, you may be feeling a little uneasy about keeping it on the road. S&S is trying to make that easier by offering a number of services related to the engines. First of all S&S will honor the warranty on any S&S engine that was supplied in a Big Dog for as long as the original vehicle warranty would have lasted. Secondly, S&S can supply replacement parts for your stock emissions compliant engine. That means your engine can be repaired at any S&S dealer or by the S&S Remanufacturing Service, and you can be assured that it still is "street legal" and that you are not violating emissions laws. Finally, S&S can offer performance upgrades for your BDM V117 engine, which can be installed by an S&S dealer or our Remanufacturing service.
S&S Cycle to Stand Behind Big Dog Motorcycle Engine Warranties
Big Dog owners are wondering where to turn for warranty support on their bikes. Though the official BDM warranty ended with the company, S&S is stepping up to the plate and offering a special engine warranty to all owners of Big Dog motorcycles that were still covered by the factory warranty. S&S company president George Smith commented "I'm certainly sad to see a good customer like BDM close their doors, but I feel that we need to shoulder the responsibility, and make sure the end customer gets a square deal. I suppose we could just look the other way, but I won't do that. After all, these are S&S engines. We built them and we're going to stand behind them!"

Keep Your Big Dog On The Leash! - Stock Replacement Parts
If you are happy with the performance of your stock BDM engine, or if you are concerned about getting tagged for tampering with an emissions controlled engine, S&S can supply stock replacement parts for the heart of your Big Dog - the engine. This is true of all S&S made engines used by BDM over the years. The list includes a number of V-Series engines, specifically V88, V107, V111, and V117, as well as the X121 X-Wedge engine. S&S manufactured these engines originally, and we can supply the original US made parts you need to keep it running the way it was designed to. S&S is committed to treating customers fairly, so these parts are no more expensive than similar parts for any other S&S engine. Have the work done by an S&S dealer or have your dealer send your engine to our Remanufacturing Service in LaCrosse, WI to have it rebuilt by the same company that built it originally.

For owners who want more bite to go with their bark, S&S is offereing a performance upgrade package for the V117 engines that were most popular through Big Dog. The combination of the 585 Cam and shortened Cylinder/Piston Kit (Full Polished or Diamond Cut) will drastically increase your horsepower and torque.
